This Pair of Mahogany Irish Torcheres were retailed between 1904-1912 when Butlers of Dublin were based at 126-128 Upper Abbey Street. The Pair are superb and are obviously Butlers but fortunately the Company Stamp remains on one after 115 years. They have octagonal tops with pierced gallery borders which are very fine in quality. The are raised on heavy reeded columns, triform wonderfully carved legs and finish with paw feet. These are wonderful pieces of rare Irish Furniture and I was lucky to spot then here in Dublin. We can be quite specific about the date as we know when Butlers were using this particular stamp.
